best way to clean up spills in the car

my front passenger seat just had an accident with a super-sized coke...anyone have any suggestions/products/techniques for me to do some damage control? the seats are the stock kind, not leather or fake leather or anything...the soda sunk right in, and now theres a brown stain right where someones butt would be 🙁

lighter fluid 😉

yeah, too bad, i'm out of matches though 😉 next solution? 😛

no serioulsy, Lighter Fluid cleans everything, that or gasoline, then just use something to get ride of the smell its not hard.

Steam cleaning is likely the only way you'll get all of the cola out of the seats.

If you're quick, you may be able to blot most of it up and use an upholsterly cleaner to get the rest out. However, test the upholstery cleaner in a non-visible spot to make sure it doesn't fade the colour.

well i watched a good 1/3 of the cup sink into the seat, so i consider full cleaning a lost cause. all i want now is to get rid of the brown diarrhea stain 😉

yup, no kidding it works 😀 I have used it to get oil and grease (as in the grease used on trucks/back hoes/loaders) out of cloth seats.
