Hi all,

I will soon be swapping out my Coolmaster HS/Fan for an Alpha 6035.

The Coolmaster had a thermal pad and I know it will leave some on the processor when I take it off.

Whats the best (Safest) way to clean the processor core so I can aply new thermal compound and the Alpha?

Thanks alot

When I switched from the stock HSF that came with my T-bird to
a Chrome Orb, I took some single edge razor blades (like those
used to scrape paint, etc..) and scraped it off. It was great.

Got everything off easy, then cleaned the rest with rubbing
alcohol.
