I bought a few previewed DVDs at Blockbuster and couple of them have some scratches and finger prints on them. Anyone recommend a good way to clean CDs? I know you are supposed to wipe them from the inside out, not in a swirl pattern as many do it.

In case anyone cares, you can easily remove the writing "permanent" marker on the disc itself with their numbers, etc. with a simple pencil eraser. Works really well!

Anyway, what is a good way to clean CDs/DVDs? What cleaners to use? What type of cloth? CD cleaning machine?

Same, but I don't use soap.

I just use a damp cotton cloth and lightly rub off the finger prints and dirt in an outward motion.
