No, not real bubblegum :p I'm talking about the pink thermal pad that comes on AMD's retail HSFs. I just pulled my desktop apart in preparations for replacing a dead motherboard. I think I'll get a bigger, quieter HSF while I'm at it.

I think nail polish remover works the best, at least for me. Then do the final cleaning with rubbing alcohol.

First lighter fluid on a Q-tip, rub lightly in circles, it will be able to be rubbed to the sides and cleaned off, then re-clean with Isopropyl Alcohol.
You can get the stuff at any major drug store or supermarket. NO OPEN FLAMES IN AREA !

Rubbing Alcohol has always worked for me. And a little "elbow grease"!;)

Yep, same here. Carb and choke cleaner works wonders...finish it off with some Isopropyl rubbing alcohol. :)

If U use Nail polish remover, be very careful and read the ingredients... some have special ingredients to take care of ones nails. Could cause problems. Personally I would not use nail polish remover!

I have been using Citra-Solv Cleaner & Degreaser followed by rubbing alcohol for quite some time now. It can be purchased at most large grocery stores. The stuff cuts through Arctic Silver and thermal pads very well.

EDIT: Nothing quite like that fresh orange smell either... :)
