Best way to clean a Plasma TV ?

Hey folks,

I am confused on how to clean my Plasma TV. Its a 42 inch Panasonic. I need to get the smudge and fingerprints off, what is the best way to clean it ? I am a bit hesitant on using glass cleaner.

Thanks !

Distilled water and a microfiber cloth.

QFT. I actually came to post the exact same thing. Anything else could at least cause smears and smudges or at worst damage the anti-reflective coating on the glass. Your screen is most certainly not just glass, and you can't treat it as such. Be sure to not fall victim to the "flat-panel-screen cleaners" as they can damage your coating just as easily as glass cleaner.

Edit: And you don't always need distilled water either. If it's just dusty, you can use a dry microfiber cloth.

I'm sure you can get them lots of places, my TV came with one. Bestbuy, amazon, glasses store. Oddly enough my Pioneer doesn't seem to collect dust on the screen, must be some anti-static coating or something.

Has anyone ruined their Tv with ammonia cleaner?
Mine has or had smudges from finger prints.
I wet a folded terry cloth towel, and then very lightly sprayed it with windex.
Then I unfolded the cloth and used part that was behind where I sprayed it.
I am a little worried because years ago I ignored everyone's precationary advise and used windex on my canon camera's view screen, and it simply stripped the "anti-glare" coating off of it.

My Samsung came with a cloth and the manual says just use it, or any lint free soft dampened cloth to clean it. The big bullet was to not spray anything directly onto the surface of the screen or use anything other than water to dampen the cloth.

Any more information?
Where do I buy a micro fibre cloth?

Most auto stores like Kragen's, Auto Zone, etc. all carry them, usually in bundles or packs. I think I paid like $7 for a 4 pack. They're great & can be used on just about anything. I use them on my motorcycle, plasma displays, monitors, Ipod, you name it.
