Building a new rig with Win 10... Did some reading when 10 came out and the telemetry and the occasional screwed up WINDOWS UPDATES scared me away. Looking to get the best "version" of Win 10 Home that would not have telemetry and the "bad updates" (if that is possible). I suppose there is nothing of the like for sale...

1) What is the best way to purchase? Is there a way to install and get the latest updates that include none of the bad updates known to hose things up?

2) Is there a known procedure for eliminating all telemetry and getting Win 10 as "lean and mean" as possible. IIR, there were several groups out there offering various ways to do this more easily when Win 10 came out and I'm assuming there is a standard procedure at this point...

Thanks much Ketchup. I totally forgot about doing a flash drive install. Does a USB 2.0 flash drive work in a 3.1 port and vice-versa?

They should. I haven't run into any issues.
