I have a 706 meg rar file I want on a fuji cdr. Are there certain programs that overburn better than others? Or is the overburning potential in the cdr?

Nero, update to the latest version and overburn. Cheap media = bad result most of the time.

Split it into multiple RARs and use SmartPAR to create some parity files.

6 mb is hardly worth worrying about, it's certainly not going to stretch the capability of any decent CDR.

I burned several 705M files on staples CDR (CMC sh!t) using Nero5.

All files are good, movies play well.

What brands of CDRs overburn well? I had some Memorex (cheap ones) and they only did 702mb at the most. They also have problems at 48x, 32x, and sometimes even 24x when writing the TOC it spools up then down then up then down for several minutes on my liteon. Never had the problem with any of my other burners, but my buddy has it too so I think it's the media.
