Hahah. There is no simple way to get into search engines. If there was, I would be a stinkin millionaire right now. People study and study and study search engines trying to figure out how to rank highest for certain terms, only to have the studying go down the drain in one day when the search engine changes its ranking algorithms.
Basically, have decent meta tags in the headers. Try to repeat those meta tags in the body several times in a normal sounding way. Don't use hidden text (same color as the background). Don't spam the search engines (submitting every day, it takes time). Have lots of links to the page -- link popularity is important. Make sure those links are also in the search engines. You can put lots of little "." at the bottom of the page with each linking to a different page on the site. Have those same dots on each page. Spider comes along, eats those links at each page and thinks, wow this is a good place.
Too big words for the search engines. Relevancy and popularity.
Get the site in at
http://dmoz.org. AOL uses the DMOZ directory to feed their search engine. Depending on your audience, this is usually a VERY good place to have your site listed. Yahoo! is also good, but next to impossible to get a business oriented site listed without paying $$$.
