if i were to set up a website that took small payments (~$2.00), what's the best way to accept them?

paypal? any credit card accepting sites?

Probably paypal, I think credit card transactions would be more costly.

Yep cc processing fees are around $0.30 plus 2.9%

I would accept NON-CREDIT CARD Paypal since it's instant and there are no processing fees.

hmm...i'm just worried that people will be turned off by having to go through the PayPal registration process.

i'll have weigh the consequences...

What are you considering, asking people for donations/contributions?

I think most experienced internet people have an paypal account. Personally I would feel a lot safer sending a paypal payment opposed to using some random cc checkout, who knows where the number is really going.
