Best way(s) to correct Windows key code?

Svnla

Lifer
Client has a few hundred generic computers, mostly Pent 4 2.8Ghz, Intel MB, CD drive, etc, just typical office computers.

About 10% to 15% of these computers have wrong windows key code. The key codes are from open licence keys (incorrect) instead of the OEM stickers (correct) on the side of the computers.

What are the best/fastest way to fix it? I know we can just blow the hard drives off and reinstall everything but we refer the least paintfull way to do it. Someone told me about register edit and such?

TIA.

Those above replys work great for xp sp1, but from my experience, I haven't been able to use them for xp sp2. The only thing i have found that works is this:
Windows Product Key Update Tool

I have used this a few times and all worked fine afterwards. But if anyone has found another method for changing keys in xp sp2 please share 😉

Thanks a bunch to those that replied.

Would these suggestions work on Windows 2000? What about 98? I know they are old but we have some old computers, even a few 95.
