Do people just go w/ the motherboard bios readings? I want to test out my current system w/ and w/o the 2 case fans. And I want to test it w/ the Antec PP303X PS that I'm getting soon.

A suggestion I've heard for a 'second opinion' (Haven't tried it out yet) is to get an outdoor thermometer and wedge the tip between the fins at the base of the heat sink and see how that temperature compares with the reported temperature in the BIOS and in Windows.

You could also use the same thermometer to measure the system temperature by just placing it inside the case for a while...

The mb reading is the easiest, or you can buy a thermometer and stick it in there. I saw one of those temp things with 2 LCD's that tell you the temp on your computer in the front, e-mail me if you want one of those, I'll have to research what site I saw it on.

Radio Shack offers a probe and display that I stumbled upon just today.

There are others out there with similar external LED/LCD displays & temp. probe.
