I cannot find a watch that I like the look of in my price range. Actually, I can't find any watches I like the look of, outside of one I saw at a jeweler selling for $4k. I don't even know what the best brands are in that price range.

I'm looking for something classy, preferably in a silver (not gold).

I'm really open to anything, I just want a new watch. Help please!

Edit: Found it! Here is the watch I loved: Maurice Lacroix - Phase de Lune Tonneau

If that freaking thing didn't have the gold and the jewels, it would be much cheaper. Actually, $2.7k for it is better than I saw.

My eyes - the goggles do nothing! :p

Personally I don't care for those exploding-numerals tonneau watches, but I believe Invicta makes one that will be in your price range. Try searching the 'Bay.

AH! Dude, Invicta makes like 5,000 different watches. Trying to flip through them is making me insane. I'm going to have to look elsewhere.

The watch you are looking at is a tonneau style, which should help you search. This one, e.g., is pretty similar.

Looks like a watch you'd be able to find at a Fossil store.

I personally like Seiko watches (for the money).

If you ever find a ML or IWC watch around $200-$300, I would venture to say it's a scam. Those are big names.

I would look at the Citizen Stiletto series. Bulova and Tissot brands are also something to look for. Now you have to answer the question, are you getting a watch more as a piece of jewelry or as an accurate timepiece?

Me, personally, I love skeleton watches. They always start a conversation. However, with those, you'll certainly be looking to spend about $2k+. I do know, though, that Invicta sells skeleton watches for around the $100+ http://www.amazon.com/Invicta-Mens-Skeleton-Watch-9839/dp/B0009P678U

They're not a Corum Golden Bridge or anything, but certainly still good eye candy.
