I am finally buying a 280x. I know, now might not be the best time to buy but I need a new card, and I might as well go tahiti for F@H.

Anyways, which 280x has reasonable VRM cooling. I was looking at the sapphire dual-x, but it got crazy fan noise. A few days later I found a great deal on an MSI gaming one. Reviews say it throttles at the VRM's and gets up to like 92c on the core. I don't really want a special edition (toxic, matrix etc.) or anything, and I only have 2 slots. The gigabyte cooler is meh, so the only option I see is the ASUS, and it's a bit more.
Ideas?

My asus DC2 280x has VRM running at 81C while mining, Granted its running at -44mv than default but still.

The best 280X is the Toxic. Cost you some extra denaro though.
Therein lies the problem. I only have enough for a "MSRP" 280x or a little more. The toxic is pretty much out.

Sapphire has a good VRM section - Gigabyte has full contact also.
I heard the GB's cooler sucked. It kept it cool, but it was very loud. The sapphire dual-x is known to be meh at vrm, but the vapor-x seems good.

Yeah, not 100% applicable. I was looking at it anyways though.
