Vonage hasn't troubled me one bit. It's the cable company that has sucked thus far. Plus the internet service rates are just absurd these days.

They're currently offering a free month of service without a referral also -- sorry aircooled...

I have sunrocket and have been happy with them -- they're almost 1/2 the price of vonage if you pay a year in advance.

It is difficult to say there is one best. There are lots of differences based on what is important to you. Search the forums for "voip" and then "vonage" and review the threads. If you give a list of maybe 10 priorities for you such as price, uptime, caller id, faxing, etc, then perhaps people can give you a suggestion. However, there is not one clear-cut winner that is the best in all categories.
