best video card under 100$ for vista

im puttin a new system together slowly and want to make it vista capable, what would be a good video card for the aero interface? im not a gamer but want everythin to look nice on my 20 inch WS dell.

That should do it, I have a 256MB X1600 on my MBP and it runs Aero incredibly fast, that specific card, with GDDR2 memory should not be much of a downgrade and had 256mb from which Vista benefits a lot, plus its silent.

Wait until the low end nVidia G8x and ATI R6xx solutions come out. Then you'll have a true DX10 card.

I just assembled a system and didn't want to buy a card until the Vista/Direct X 10/HDCP junk settled. I bought a 55.00 USD Sapphire that works fine for me at the mo. I ran a Dell 2007WFP on it for a month and it was fine. It has no fan and is quiet. I don't game though.

You should be fine even with something like a GeForce 6200. Aero doesn't take all that much power, it ran perfectly on my laptop with a 128MB Mobility Radeon X600 (essentially a PCIe Mobile 9600).
