Best Video Card for under $300

I'm looking into finally upgrading my crappy ATI Radeon 9200 within the next month. Could anyone please list the best 3 cards i can buy for under $300?

Everything else is lacking features and speed.

Agreed.

But look in Hot Deals (continually) . . . there have been some 6800-GTs near the $330 range - worth it, IMO.

Also, please note there ARE several versions of the (plain 12 pipe) 6800 . . . some come with 128MB DDR1 memory while Asus offers one with 256MB DDR3 . .. also core clocks and ram speeds vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

$250 PNY 6800 preorder at Buy.com seems like the best deal for <$300 video cards ATM.

I'd have to recommend at least *thinking* about a ~$200 9800Pro (only ~20% slower than a 6800NU, but 2/3 the price), and waiting to pick up a faster next-gen card like a 6800GT or X800XT in a few months once they come down in price -- but if you're willing to spend $300 on it, the 6800 is the fastest thing available for that amount of money. However, I seem to now be the only person espousing this view.

The $250 preorder is a good deal, but no telling when you'll have the card...
