I am currently getting ready to purchase a video card, and I am wondering which card is the best out their for under 200 bucks, "even though I'd like to spend about $150".
One more question, I currently have a prophet se, is it worth it to upgrade now?
I do quite abit of gaming cs,dod, etc, but i also like watching dvd's.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

The cards I have looked at the most are the Geforce 2 pro64mb and ATI Radeon 64ddr vivo.
😀

I would say Radeon...because they got the best image quality...and it's got great dvd playback....plus it performs pretty good in games....if you get the Radeon SE by any chance it will perform just like a Pro...

I'd go with the Radeon. I think it's more well rouned card. It may not have as fast 3D, but it's not bad and makes up for it in other arieas (Image quality, DVD, price ect).

Look for any GeForce 2 Pro that has 5.0 ns RAM (400 Mhz) such as the MSI 831 that goes for about $140.

is the Gainward geforce2 PRO 64mb 5ns w/ tv-out for $138 a better deal than the MSI version of it?

Gainward or MSI guys?
