Best Video Card for $100?

I've never been able to debug my Geforce 2 gts 32 to work correctly with K7 tbird 800. 3D apps (games) are the only thing that's unstable. I'm fed up and I'm just going to replace cards until things are stable. Thinking of Radeon.

What is the best video card for $100 or less? (egay)_
I don't need TV out but I wouldn't mind dual moniter.

stable with
tbird
asus a7v
128 mushkin 133
soundblaster cheapass

thanks

get Radeon LE for under $70 or Radeon 7500 oem for little bit above $100 from newegg.

7500 supports dual output, it has VGA+DVI+TV-out onboard.

The Radeon LE 32mb DDR is an excellent choice for price/performance ratio as it can be changed into a full fledge Radeon with the help of a Tweaking utility(Rage3d.com Tweak), but if you can go slightly over $100 as mentined the 7500 is definitely the better option.

I'd get a GeForce 2 Titanium from Gainward: here. It's $96 without shipping.

The site is rated 5 on resellerratings: Look here. Not too bad, especially considering the price.

Can't do better than that!

thanks, I think i'll start shopping for radeon 7500.

Does the dual moniter out mean I can choose between running same output to both monitors or split half my screen to one and half to the other?

Don't get me wrong but, slapping another card in their may not help your system at all. Instability with 3D and GF2 GTS just don't sound right to me.

I would,
*Take another look at your drivers, especially MB, sound and Video (probably in that order)
*Clean reinstall of OS, directx
*Get some more Ram, unless your running DOS, Win9x or Linux 128 mb is a bit light.

Before thinking about another card. I like the 7500 as well, but you may add to your frustration blindly changing hardware until its stable, it may never get there untill you fix the underlying conflict causing the instability.

Flexible dual monitor support

Supports combinations of traditional CRT monitors, flat panel displays and TV

HYDRAVISION? software provides the most flexible and user-friendly interface for multiple display settings:

Multi-task with MultiDesk ? create, name and organize up to nine active multi-monitor desktops

Assign ?Hot Key? shortcuts for the functions used most often, like moving active windows or applications, accessing controls on the fly or opening applications

Set applications to automatically open in preferred position on the monitor and eliminate the need to reset computer settings every time the computer is turned on

yeah rbv5,
More RAM is on the way.
What do you mean by motherboard drivers? You mean update the bios? I've got the VIA 4 in 1 and both Win2000 fixes. I've heard of people thinking their soundblaster value was causing problems too.
