Best video card for $100 range?

Hi All,
I'm building a new computer and would like to get the best vid card for around the $100 range. I will be paying 3d type games so FPS does matter. Any recommends? thanks.

9600XT or a refurbished 9800.

I'd go with a used 256MB Radeon 9800XT. They're going for around $100 nowadays.

you'll get a new 9800 pro for that if you keep your eyes out

you could either 6600 or if you up the price by 50 bucks you can get a 6600GT which is much better; if youre going with pcie

AGP your best bet would probably be a x700

After seeing the performance of both the 6600 and my old 9800 pro in person, I'd have to throw my hat in with the 6600, its quite a price to performance value.

9600XT 256 mb is the best sub-100 retail card.
9800Pro is also very good, but usually they go for 130 new.
