Best video capture cards for pc?

I have to build a video editing machine for work and would like some quick recommendations about video capture cards... price shuldnt be a factor. just recommend a good video editing setup that i can build and some good progs to use. im a noob at this but whatever u recommend i can put together ... thanx

you should check out videoguys and maybe videouniversity for some good information. For me, money was an issue, and I went with the Pinnacle DV500 + for about $500. The Matrox RT2500 has had really good reviews as has the Pinnacle One. But if you talk to alot of video editing professionals, they may send you the way of ... i can't believe i am going to say this...the Macintosh G4 with Final Cut Pro. With the PC version you will probably get something bundled with the card like Adobe Premiere 6.0.

good luck and remember to get ALOT of hard drive. about 15 minutes of Digital video is about 4 GB of hd space.
