Best vid card solution for the dell 2001FP?

Well I have been waiting awhile now to get my new system and from the way everything is shaping up it looks like I might go ahead and wait awhile longer. Q1 is always a great time to buy, after christmas, so I might be looking around then. My current rig is

bfg 6800GT
p4 2.8ghz 800fsb
MSI Neo 2 Platinum
2x kingston hyperx 512
2x wd raptor 36g

I upgraded the vid card from a 9800pro a year and a half ago, right now this system has gone pretty far past my 2 year upgrade cycle and is still runnning most of my games fairly well. I am definetly going to upgrade to AMD dual-core but the current video card wars have ended up leaving me confused.

Anyways the 2001FP has a resolution max of 1600x1200 and 60hz refresh. MY MAIN CONCERN IS THE REFRESH RATE ON THIS MONITOR AND AT WHICH POINT I AM JUST OVERKILLING THE REFRESH. I am a bit ignorant when it comes to monitors/refresh rate/vid card so if anyone can explain what the relationship is exactly and how to calculate this kind of thing or a good article that would be appreciated as well.

If I have my way I think I am going to wait for the 7800ultra 512 and run two of them in SLI on whatever nforce4SLIx16 board DFI comes out with. I also want to be able to run full AA and AF in everything and for this reason might go with and ATI solution, the only problem there is that I don't know how long I want to wait for x1800xt gpu water blocks and I am concerned about how the power situation will flush out with two of these monsters sucking the life out of almost any power supply on the market.

Any comments? I set aside funds for 2 years and have about $5000 for my rig this time around, any savings will just get recycled into my 2 year rig fund ( I really want to setup a dual card solution this time, so don't try to talk me out of it!🙂 ). I am setting up water cooling this time and have an Koolance INEX-2 and Lian Li PC75b case already purchased, I'll get the water blocks once I have made a final decision on the mb and vid cards.
