Best vid card for home entertainment sys

Hmmm, not really sure. For something simple like what your talking about, a GF2 MX would do fine. I friend of mine has one and DVDs look great on his system.

Get an ATI Allinwonder type card. It doesn't have to be an 8500 unless you want to play games with all the eye candy on on your tv. (I'm assuming all in wonder also has tv out) This way you have a seperate tv tuner to record tv on as well as light gaming and good DVD hardware acceleration if you choose to use it.
