What's the easiest linux distro to install/use under vmware?

I normally use slackware at home, however for work I want to try linux under vmware and I want it easy and painless.

OpenSUSE and Ubuntu are very easy to install. Wouldn't know how easy it is under vmware though. I wouldn't grab the desktop cd from Ubuntu, but rather there alternate install cd to avoid any conflicts and/or performance degradation by running from a livecd before you install.

And AFAIK the VMWare X drivers are now in Xorg so most distributions should be simple to setup. You would just need to install the VMWare tools if you want to automatic letting go of the mouse pointer and to switch to the VMWare NIC module instead of pcnet32.
