best verizon android phone?

any suggestions? I have about 12 hours to decide 😱

I've been with Sprint forever and I had another 3 months before I could upgrade my Evo 4g so I haven't really been looking around, but due to recent circumstances, I'm getting moved over onto a work phone. I've been resisting the work phone under the pretext of "if work isn't paying for my phone, I'm not on-call," and while my boss agrees with me -- it's just not working out in reality. so if I'm going to be on-call no matter what, I may as well save myself $80/month.

work only deals with Verizon, though, so I've got to break my contract and pick a new phone.

I'll be paying new-contract price, so I'm guessing ~$300 for their top tier phones?

HTC Rezound is $100 cheaper and can give Nexus run for its money... hardware-wise it is better in some fields and not worse in any: faster CPU, way better camera, great headphones, and normal speaker

Galaxy Nexus seems to get a ton of love everywhere, but I'm a little concerned over the lack of gorilla glass and the fact that there's no SD card slot.

either the Gnex or the Razor max

if you want a super long battery get the razor

if you want ICS and a phone you can easily mod the shit out of get a Gnex

the razor max is actually thinner then the Gnex even with its 3300 mah battery

I would get the Rarzor Max for the battery life and construction. I'm not a modder so being able to do different ROMs is not a big deal.

If you'd consider a rezound I'd say look at a LG spectrum Bigger better screen and thinner/lighter. Also CHEAP! Iphones are for girls or men with small hands!

I thought I would be concerned by the SD card slot. Then I started using google music... Now I can just stream all of my music from the cloud and never have to have anything on my device. It really does work out pretty well and between that and netflix I dont need to save stuff on here at all. 32 GB seems to be plenty for me.

I can't really get onboard with the cloud 🙁 most of my music-listening is on my commute back and forth to work every day, which is nearly all underground on the subway.

you can cache with Gmusic, as well as Slacker

you can still put music on the phone as well,

GN through Amazon, right now it's only $99, killer deal/price.

Biggest downside is the camera, and in all fairness it's pretty good.

With the GN, you'll get faster OS upgrades.

The amazon deal is back at $180 now even if you're a new VZW customer.

I think I'm sold on a RAZR maxx, though I've got a couple hours to change my mind yet before our internal IT guy makes his daily Verizon call.

the battery life seems out of control and the removable (re: upgradable) SD card slot, gorilla glass, and the kevlar back seem like nice bonuses.
