My old Discover Card gave me a big hassle the last time I went to Puerto Rico, and I had to go all the way to the FVDPRP to get it resolved. I just don't want those problems again. Plus, I've heard that some CC's cover you for more than the federally mandated six months.

What do you guys recommend? Is there a comparison chart posted anywhere?

I'd love to give advice as I am a big fan of VDPs, but the Canadian VDP is a little different from other countries'. Like everything else it's subsidized something fierce...

Surely you must be referring to the Vacation Deferral Program offered by several credit card companies. I prefer to travel to hostile countries while enrolled in the program so if I need to stay a little longer, they won't be so quick to come after me.

I mean, would YOU invade North Korea to make me pay my $2,000 bill? Hell no you wouldn't.

I'm not sure about the which banks may offer more than 6 months but the best thing to do is when you're traveling, go to the US Embassy or Consulate's office and request the VDP-EH form (Vacation Deferrment Program - Extension due to Hardship). You just need to give some sob story about how you're stranded for a short time. They don't even check it out and they'll give you an automatic 3 month extension.

So, is this a parody of a topic, or a parody of a parody of a topic?
What the hell are you talking about, VDP has always been there for me when I need it. I just want to get the best one.

I dislike that you took someone else's joke and are trying to pass it off as something original.

Go fvck yourself, you humorless little asshole. Everyone else in this thread damn well KNEW the source, and knew I wasn't trying to pass off anything a mine, so take your pompous pronouncement, and shove it up your bowel impacted bunghole. There's an odious smell about you, Captain Obvious. Please bathe more often.

And take your butt buddy fivespeed5 with you.

You need to keep the syllables and alliteration to a minimum...some of us don't read so good.
