Does your motherboard support Bartons? If yes, then the 2500+ or 2600+ (512K Barton versions). The XP2800+ is also priced nicely, if you want to spend a bit more.

If not, then a 2400+ (256K T-bred).

There's no reason to buy a mobile CPU if he's not overclocking.

By unclocked you mean run at stock speeds right?

You're really not going to be noticing a difference if you buy an XP2500+ or so. I personally wouldn't do anything.

Yes, a higher FSB helps but it's not as important in the case of the P4.

The 2400+ has a higher clock speed than the 2500+ anyways. AMD pretty much rated them properly. As I said before, I'd stay put or make the jump to an AMD64 if you're itching to upgrade. Anything less isn't worthwhile.

No. Keep what you have if you're not going to overclock anything.

He's right. You're not going to notice that much of a diff from 2400+ (266) to 2500+ (333).

Save your money or spend it elsewhere.
