Tomorrow I'm gonna order my DFI Lanparty NF4-Ultra, Athlon64 3000+ venice and my RAM.

Which value RAM is the best for overclocking? Keep in mind I am trying to spend no more than $100 for 1GB dual channel.

Thanks for the help!

dfi nforce boards dont do well with value ram. corsair seems a little difficult to tweak also with this board. good luck though.

yep thats it....check it out. With the high volts that th dfi boards put out, it can easily do 2-2-2-2-11 timings which you would normally have to pay atleast double the price for and can reach high fsb's

Yeah, I am really thinking about getting it. Little more than I wanted to spend, actually about $30 more (tax + shipping), but I guess it's worth it.

I don't know which kind of memory is good for o/c
but I can tell you that I tried Corsair Value (2.5 Cas) on DFI SLI-DR.
It wouldn't even do 210MHz.

for $112 you can get these:

These are the same chips that you would find for $18, just not tested and can easily outperform any value series ram. They even reviewed them here at anandtech and were shocked....im planning on purchasing some myself.

$35 less and same timings and speed.

good find, but are they gonna hit the same O/C speeds?

not nearly as close...the rams I recommended is a good overclocker. THe corsair is just meant to be cheap and run at rated specs. This ram will overclock to 2-2-2-* with enough volts and most likely reach atleast 220fsb. Some people have reported getting up to 260fsb! Thats over DDR500!

From what I have seen the DFI does not work well with Corsair Value RAM. So get some Crucial. The Micron RAm seems to OC pretty well and is around the same price as Corsairs value line.

VX is good ram, just be prepared to spends days/weeks tweaking it. It will not clock high with tight timings right out of the box. Higher voltage means things get hot! Heat brings other issues you may not be planning for. You will need to burn them in, tweak BIOS settings and probably get active cooling for the ram modules in order to get high htt with tight timings.
