building a htpc for my brother to use with his 46" 1080p 3d tv. Main use would be 1080p movies, blurays and occasional gaming(he is a big Diablo nut). So whats the best card out there. If I were to put a budget limit, I would say 250-300 bucks.

I was looking at the same, which one. I read the Asus DCU, MSI and Gigabyte are the good ones for o/cing, but I see a HIS one for 219 on the Egg right now.

Good 7850s: Asus, MSI, Sapphire. These have been confirmed to run cool and have a huge OC potential. HIS is fine unless you plan to OC it above 1.1ghz, the single fan cooler is no better than crappy reference ones.

just spoke to TD,it will be at least a week before they come in.

If it's only a week, I would wait. It's the best one to get. The cooler is way over sized for that chip. That's good, if you have the room in your case. (10.2" IIRC) Heat is your enemy!

The base cards aren't good value. You would need to buy an aftermarket cooler if you wanted to get the most out of your card. People have had issues trying to bump the voltage on them too.
