Best v4m low profile card?

Looking to add/improve on Intel's 4500 integrated.

If you know where i can find a comprehensive up to date comparison chart that would be great.

Umm, isn’t that a gossip page? I do not think i would be taken seriously there and do not want to cause another flame war just to be referred as ‘but the op asked...’.

4550 is dirt cheap but might be for a reason. I am trying to disciple some info from googling/PassMark charts but there are way too many low end options. The last time i’ve made a pc with low profile card was about two years ago and 8600GT was a clear winner. I have no idea which is the best now.

The fastest low-profile card that I know of is a 9800GT. It will chew up alot of power though.

For you to get a picture - I’m building Celeron 440 (pin modded to 2.66) based HTPC on a nice Intel G45 board with only two fans (CPU and PSU), 4GB of 800Mhz ram, no optical. Budget wise it is £55 mobo, £15 CPU, £45 RAM + 1x£30/2x£70 storage (1xHitachi 7200PM for system and 2x Samsungs F2 Eco Greens for storage) all in tiny Antec Micro Fusion Remote 350. Already have case, mobo, cpu+cooler, system HDD and ram. £90 for graphics would not be necessary b4b-wise. I am looking to spend £50 max as the purpose of this pc is media playback/storage/low power downloading/children’s online games/occasional browsing/inet media playback. Reason i need something better than 4500 is to power 1080p TV where i assume intel’s integrated would be bottlenecking. May upgrade CPU to e6600 later as my other pcs are upgraded but there is really no need/not worth it power/noise-wise. TIA.
