For some reason, I have gotten back into playing UT and have started DL'ing some mods for it. I just tried out Tactical Ops and I think it is great. I have also played Rocket Area for UT and enjoy it also.

What other mods do you recommend? The only catch is the mod must support bots (not just online play), and I am sure most take advantage of UT's excellent bot code.

I am considering these 2 mods: Assault Bonus Pack and Infilitration.

Also, any map/level recommendations are also welcome. . . .

If you enjoy Tactical Ops, then you will love Infiltration. There is a whole Infiltration community and lots of maps designed just for that mod.

The Assault Bonus Pack, which I just downloaded myself, is a very impressive bit of game development--big kudos to Eavy and the gang--and promises to be a lot of fun.

Personally, I like it a bit wacky, and my all-time favorite mod has to be Unreal4Ever. The latest version has not only the famous bizarre weapons of the mod (nuclear baby dolls!), but a whole slew of new models and skins as well.

This article: http://www.zdnet.com/gamespot/stories/features/0,12059,2628258-1,00.html describes U4E and some others that might strike your fancy.

I'm also fond of the original Excessive Overkill, http://www.planetquake.com/excessive/UnrealTournament.shtml (but you may chug pretty badly if you don't have a good card and a fast system), and Headhunters http://www.demiurgestudios.com/headhunters/howToPlay.php3 .

And at the risk of linking you to death, check out ModSquad http://www.planetunreal.com/modsquad/ , for all manner of new and cool stuff.

For maps, my favorite sites are Headshot!, Grey Tiger and the biggie is Nali City. All of these can be linked to from PlanetUnreal. I hate to give specific map recommendations because tastes vary so widely, and some maps are better suited for different mods (like urban for realistic, tactical mods).

Have fun!

I'd recommend the Assault bonus pack. I downloaded it last night and was impressed. It's got some huge, intricate maps. Looks great with S3TC too.
