Blow - Black Betty - Ram Jam
Pulp Fiction - Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon - Neil Diamond
Full Metal Jacket - These Boots Are Made For Walking - Nancy Sinatra

Seether & Amy Lee - Broken

From The Punisher soundtrack, which had some other decent songs IMO.

Sigur Ros - Movie Life Aquatic....

I have a thing for Wes Anderson movies, and have seen Sigur Ros twice....amazing scene.

I prefer the shootout scene to Search & Destroy.

Thats a good scene.

Pretty much any wes anderson film has good music. Also, the ends are all the same an great...they just make you feel good.

and...well I can't find the rest, just watch them.

Side note: WEs anderson also...Elliot Smith - Needle in hay http://youtube.com/watch?v=9pyBB7y8fDU

Ok... for us 80?s children

Gimmie some lovin ? Iron Eagle
Twist and Shout ? Ferris Beuller?s Day Off
Cruel Summer ? Karate Kid
You Could Be Mine (Guns and Roses) - T2

Every time I head ?More than a Woman? by the Bee Gee?s I think of that dance scene from Saturday Night Fever (Or the one in Short Circuit)

Indeeed. Good schtuff.

As for 80's... is it just moi, or does teh pop muzak seem more iconic if you know what I mean. Is it the so-called power ballad thang or just because it is in recent memory combined with memorable movie scenes that we have seen repeatedly on TV? I reckon it's impossible to judge from within the culture and given the limited history since the useage only began around 1970 (outside of actual musicals).
