best USB floppy drive?

I'd like to get a USB floppy drive...anyone tried them? Are they any faster than internal floppies? What's a good brand?

I bought a generic one from a local store... no faster than any normal floppy drive, but it's bootable, and it's storable, so i dont have to uglify my computer case with a floppy.

i love it though, only way to go 🙂

They're all pretty much the same. compgeeks.com has refurbed HPs for $22.+sh... You can probably safely choose based on appearance. I've seen some that are combo floppy/memory card readers. Now that's pretty cool...

Yes, yes, and the ones that I used, were re-purposed iMac USB floppies, made by Y-E Data.

Btw, you can get USB floppies to work in Win98se too, if you use the .INF file from W2K to install them, and I think one .SYS file that is mentioned in the .INF, *unless*.. you installed one of the Win98se updates for firewire/video, then strangely, USB floppies fail to work again. I forgot the specifics, but that's the general gist of it.
