What is the best CPU upgrading option for me under $350? I currently have an Abit BX-6 2.0 (slot 1), a Celeron 300@450, and 128 MB Hitachi PC100.
 
The cheapest options that I can think of is getting a celeron2 566 and overclock it to 850, which would cost you last then 120 or so, just paying for the cpu and a slotkey.

If this is not enough for you, might try going with a p3-600 to 700e and oc that, those are around 200 or so and grab a new motherboard to go along with that if you want.

Your PC100 SDRAM might limit your o'clocking ability with a P3, so maybe the fastest C2 you can get would be best.
 
c2 @ about 100-110mhz, spend the rest of the money on a faster hard drive or a geforce 2 or geforce DDr or 2MX. Don't think about just the cpu, its usually not the limiting factor unless you own the fastest hard drive and video card on the market already.
