IMHO, "assuming it supports the right voltages,"

1st Choice: K6-III
2nd Choice: K6-2+
3rd Choice: K6-2

best upgrade would be to dump the motherboard on the forsale/trade forum and pick up a cheap BX board.

K6-2+, assuing your super7 board's bios supports it (check the manufacturer's site for bios updates tho), many k6-2+'s are hitting 550-600mhz, which aint too shabby, at least according to reviews and some users in 3dnow.net's messageboards.

Failing that, K6-3 450 if you can find one around, although they arent exactly the most overclockable cpu's out there.

Leaves the k6-2 533/550's in last place.

I see that Duron 700's are the same price as a K6-2 500/550 here in HK - about US$60 - better to sell the current mobo and CPU and get a cheap Socket A mobo and cheapest Duron you can lay you hands on in my opinion.. :)

Failing that get a K6-2 - I personally think a K6-3 is well overpriced.

If the mobo will do 2.0 or 2.1v, I'd opt for a K6-3+. Faster than the K6-2+ and better overclocking than the K6-3.

K6-3+/450's been showing up in the Hot Deals forum for the last couple weeks for $50-$80.

But, really, Socket7 is dead. Unless you really need to nurse a few more months out of a dead-end platform, get a cheap Slot1 board capable of a 100MHz FSB. Stick a Celeron in it and run it on the 100MHz FSB. You can easily do this setup for $<150. Maybe around $100 if you're lucky.
