Best upconverting dvd player?

Hey guys, i recently bought a Toshiba SD-4990 from Best buy and im not too happy with it. The picture is good but it reads my copies like crap, it skips and glitches a lot even with good media. I researched and people are having similar problems. Anyone have any suggestions of other players?

The consensus on avsforum is the A1 has better picture and sound quality compared to the A2.
