Best unrealistic computer racing game??

My favorite racing game of all time is San Francisco Rush 2049. I just loved how it was completely unrealistic and the speeds were just insane. I think Wipeout 2 for PS2 is a close second.

I want that kind of game for my computer.. does anything exist like it? Need for Speed series is okay, imo.. but it doesn't satisfy my need for insanity.

Mario Kart, Twisted metal???, Diddy Kong Racing, Star Wars pod racer, Grand Tourismo series(no dents or bumps while on impact), Wipe out, Ridge racer, and so much more

Other than Pod Racer, none of those are PC games. Pod Racer was pretty good as far as speed though.

NFS2:SE is probably my favorite. Burnout 3 comes in a close second (I haven't bought Burnout:Revenge, because I'm inclined to wait for the Xbox 360 version).

Excellent racing games:

NFS3: High Stakes (doesn't work well on W2K or XP)
NFS: Porsche Edition
NFS Underground (Underground II was crap, IMHO)

I never loved NFS3, and hated NFSU. NFS-PU was just brilliant, and the only reason it didn't make my list is that it's the closest thing to a sim in the NFS series (though obviously it's not that realistic). I was always hoping they'd use that same graphics and physics engine to make similar games with all-Ferrari, all-Jaguar, all-Mercedes, etc.

Best unrealistic computer racing game, newer and currently out for PC? Trackmania Sunrise -- no question. Freakin' awesome. Insane 1000 kph speeds, huge jumps, endless customized tracks, full online play.
