Best unlocked phone 300ish CDN

Hey all I was wondering what is the best unlocked phone (most cost around 300CDN) on the market?

LG Cookie, Viewty, and another touchscreen phone were ones I have seen around that much
KP500 KS20 KU990


My most concerns are battery life, sound quality, size and ease of use. It must be GSM!
Preference to style touchscreen style > candy bar > slider > flip

wifi is a plus, qwerty is a plus if it does not add too much to the size of the phone

I am going to buy that then..

Here is some background:

I was a pay as you go customer for 3 years with Telus, I want better phone. They won't give me discounts being a pay and talk customer but said I could buy ANY phone to use as pay as you go.
So I hunt down a HTC Diamond (CDMA) phone BNIB for $275 CDN. Then I go to put this on my pay as you go and they say FU! and try to offer me a plan (the plan would cost me double per month than I pay previously for 2 years).

Since HTC Diamond (GSM) is SIM, I can go on Rogers and use it on any pay as you go or monthly plan. Not to mention the fact that Rogers network >> Telus, HTC Diamond GSM > HTC Diamond CDMA among else.

I also can sell my old phone/pay as you go credit this way..

So now I am going to re-sell the CDMA phone I bought and buy the GSM version and switch to Rogers!!😀

EDIT: the GSM version costs quite more, but the difference in plan cost makes it well worth it
