Summer only or do you need to drive through snow?

Grip, noise, treadlife, comfort , what's more important?

Wet grip or Dry grip?

BTW, thats about $1,188 USD for us Americans. You can buy a lot of tire for that much here in the states.

Continental Sport Contact.

Check out ebay for some good deals on the above tyre. You might encounter a few problems when trying to get a tyre specialist (i.e. Kwik Fit) to fit the tyres, however.

It?s funny, because this exact same situation came up with a friend of mine a while back, and he just so happens to own a 2004 M3 in carbon black, too. He bought a set of the aforementioned tyres from ebay, brand new, and only managed to get them fitted at a backstreet garage, as the other mainstream garages refuse to fit tyres other than the ones they supply themselves.

If you bought an M3, don?t skimp on the tyres.

Kwik Fit will probably charge you around £1200 for a set of 4 Sport Contact 3s on your M3.

FUCK Kwik Fit. I'd rather piss red hot razor blades onto a live rail than give them my money.

I have the Conti Sport Contact 'M3' tyres on mine. They are M3 specific tyres (must have the 'M3' designation on the tyre) and they are pretty good, but in my opinion they are a little on the hard side, but water clearance is good and with traction ctl on in the wet they are great. Just don't expect to launch off the line at light speed in the wet. Dry performance is good and they communicate well.

I would suggest you think about the Goodyear F1 GSD3's. Had those on my scooby and they are amazing in the wet.

The M3 community claim that the Michelin Pilot Sport 2 is one of the best tyres for the M3. However, they run at over £200 a corner and I don't have any experience to share, I've not used them.
