Best TV Tuner Card

Got an ATI TV Wonder VE Remote Edition for my gf's computer, but whenever I load the ATI software it locks the system. I'm gonna play with it some more, but if I can't get it to work on her system I'll just use it in mine ('cuz I know it works) and buy her another one. Any recommendations for something with a remote control and preferrably recording scheduled programs.
