Ok, I have an ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 9700 and am considering getting a new TV but don't know if a HDTV (tube or projection) will look any better displaying my PC over a standard TV?

Of course a plasma or LCD tv would be ideal but just cost way to much for my budget right now.

Looking for any information or suggestions for what would look the best running as a second monitor.

Thanks.

Definately a digital display supporting HD resolutions will be a big difference displaying the desktop over a standard analog TV at 480i. AVSforum has alot of information and a large user base, check out the display and HTPC forums. With my particular setup, I prefer hooking my display straight up with VGA (my set has no DVI) and using powerstrip to configure the timings to get the best desktop. The AIW component works best for DVD playback using theater mode, but I find myself just hooking up the VGA and watching at 1080i most of the time, better PQ and more user friendly using EZLOOK.
