Best TV for $600

OK my budget if £500 = $800 but we pay so much more here in the UK it's probably more like what you'd pay $600 for.

So, what do you say?

Good size is more important than image quality, but I don't want the cheapest thing either :)

Not bad.

Oh yeah, and widescreen is a must so I can watch my DVD's as they're meant to be seen!

I'm quite satisfied with my Toshiba 32". Actually, I've been quite happy with all of my toshiba video equipment.

Well I'll figure out what size normal screen is equivalent to what size widescreen and go from there.

OK a 32" normal screen can display a 29.4" widescreen picture (with black bars top & bottom).

I have the same TV only the 27". Picture is every bit as good as anything else I looked at. I just purchased it about 2 weeks ago and I have not been disappointed with it in any way.

It also has PiP, you need a second tuner though. Morevover, it has component video AND S-video inputs as well as front A/V inputs (nice for Dreamcast et al.).
