i dont need fan control, fan profiles or anything related.

are there "overclock profiles" in any program that i can use? hows ati tool compared to rivatuner? which is more reliable? lightweight?

so far i've tried ATI Tool since i already had it installed. it only allows me to OC the Core and the Memory. Is there a guide on this to allow it to switch from 2d clocks to 3d clocks automatically when i open up CS:S?

I think ATI tool is easier to use. They are both pretty lightweight. They both support overclock profiles, but I've found ATI Tools easier to deal with. If you create a OC profile for CS:S, just launch the game through ATI tool, and it will handle switching all the clocks to 3D mode, and then back to 2D mode when you close the game.

I agree, it is made by the author of RT and is basically a stripped down RT. eVGA has said it works with non-eVGA boards and is available at MG among other places.

Use RivaTuner to increase clocks and make fan profiles and use ATI tool only to test for artifacts.

The EVGA precision tweaker works with other vendors I think, use that- it's all you need.
