I am in need of new Tires very shortly.

I am looking at Michelin PSS

Currently if you buy 4 tires you get a $70 MIR , which ends on the 24th.

Should I wait to see whats up next month? Or Just buy it now? I can wait a few more weeks.

But the price seems to be going up it was 170 a month ago and just yesterday it was 174(its 175 now).

So I dont know if I should wait?

Usually its best around holidays. Discount tire direct has extra rebates on top of makers rebates. But if the maker does not have a rebate at the same time then it might be a wash.

So it depends when you can try and double dip.

When they no longer provide traction.

Heh in the dry they are actually still pretty good but in the rain I can floor it and have no steering

I like these tires just finished a little young. The PSS should last a tad longer.

Depends on where you live, in FL... I would say there is no best time?

In MN it's somewhat seasonal with the change in seasons.

But holidays are probably your best bet..

In theory, ordinarily when the tread is worn down to the wear bars.

I believe it is stated something like 70% of all flat tires (from punctures) occur in the last 20% of tire life.

Finally, lots of places (eg, COSTCO, Tire Sales and Service Garages at least around here) wont repair a flat for you if your affected tire tread is worn too close to the wear bars or if it is at or beyond 5 years old.

I like discounttiredirect.com as there is free shipping and no sales tax. As for best time to buy a tire, I like to buy when there is a manufacturer rebate AND a retailer rebate. The highest rebate I've ever seen on DTD or Americas tire was $100 through DTD (if you buy 4 tires) and then there was the manufacturer rebate varying from $25 to $75. Yes you can do both rebates.

How much tread do you have left and also are used tires out of the question for you?

$700 for a set of Super Sports is a dream. It's nearly twice as much for my car and it's not like I get twice as much tire :(
