Going to buy a laptop... I was wondering if there is a best time to buy one during the year. Should I wait until christmas? I don't need it right away.
 
The best time to buy is when you need it.
They will always get better and better, so after you buy, next one will soon be out, better and cheaper.

Don't buy before you need one, and don't wait for a better one to come out when you are ready to buy. Look at a two to four week window of best bang for the buck that you want or need, and get it then.
