Best time to buy an SSD within next 3 months?

If I can wait for an SSD, when should I get one??
If I was to get one now, I'd get the Vertex 2 120GB for $250 or the Intel X25-M 120GB for $300.
And yep, I read both (the entire thing) SSD anthology posts.

I will be using this on Linux (trim supported kernel) and Mac (will probably be mostly using it on mac/hackintosh) mostly.

Seems like it might be worth waiting for the new sandforce controller drives and the intel g3 drives

Wait for Intel to release it's G3 within the next few months. It should be extremely fast, and even if it does cost a lot it will drive down prices on current models. The next Indilinx drive should be making an appearance soon, and I'm intrigued to see what they can do this go around. The Barefoot was the fist real competitor to Intel so I'm expecting quite alot.

Isn't Sandforce also coming out with SF-2000 sometime in 2011. Does anyone know if that'll come soon or will be later in the year?

The last I saw was SF-2000 coming out in Q2 of 2011. If their first controller is any indication, there should be a nice battle for the performance lead between them, Intel, and the next Micron controller(though I don't know if they'll have a new one anytime soon).
