Whats the best time for the body to burn up fats on a run ?

Should I go after breakfast or @ noon or in the afternoon after tea?

My aim is to lose weight. Im not fat at all but I just have tiny bit of extra skin at the base of my belly. lol

Cheers

3 hours after a good, solid, energy full, meal.

morning, noon or night depends a lot on what you are training for and your own preferences.

I like to go late, after dinner. I have more energy and can run longer. But I hear that going in the morning, being in a fasted state, burns more fat. But also more muscle. But cardio burns muscle in general.
So the answer is 42.

Before sunup or at night. If you are not worried about heat you can put your energy into running. Some people advocate fasted cardio as well, although that is debatable.

So I should go before breakfast if I want to burn the most fat. Will I burn muscle aswell ? I am still tonned from the gym before I got injured but have a slight belly I want to get rid off, but you can still see my abbs though.

Some people will run like crap without some food in them, so your workout will be less effective. If this is not you, you might get a *slight* benefit from running before you eat. But really anytime you can dedicate yourself to it and run with your best energy is fine.

There's really no concensus on whether or not a fasted cardio will burn the most fat....

you will burn mostly fat.. running is the same no matter what time of the day it is. at most you should eat a banana or something before running if you can't get yourself to do it. OK, 300% may not be the exact number, but it does affect how you digest your food. Once your body is pumping from running, your breakfast will digest so fast you won't remmeber eating.

I'm one of those people. Trying to run without food in my stomach is like trying to drive my car with no gas in the tank.
