disable virtual memory
I have 390 MB of RAM and it makes a big difference when I capture with virtual memory turned off,no droped frames whatsoever
I use win me cause win2k does not allow me to disable virtual memory I tried and it whines every time I boot and goes ahead and makes a 2 MB swapfile anyway(and my capture card is hindered in win2k)
just wanted to know what others experiences are with this
I use a p3 450MHz 390 sdram miro dc30+
2 maxtor 30gb ata100 in promise fasttrak raid0 with silent store(maxtor) set to off
