Hi, whats the best thermal compound for my setup? I have i7 chip with lapped Thermalright TRUE Black 120 heatsink. My case is Haf 932. Also I'd like to apply the paste to my video card chip.

Thanks in advance :)

I've always used Arctic Silver 5. IMO, the application is going to matter a lot more than what product is used, with the exception of a few crappy ones.

Ya I see lots of new compounds on google.... anyone had experience with these thermal pastes?
Arctic Cooling MX-2
Akasa AK-450-5G
Noctua NT-H1

The 33 TIM roundup that has been linked many times here before showed the OCZ Freeze paste to be the winner, with AS5 beating MX-2, etc etc. I have been very happy with OCZ freeze myself, and have used the other two products as well. MX-2 is a hassle to work with compared to the OCZ.

edit: for old times sake

the best is whatever your the most comfortabling applying with.

Meaning a failed application on the best tim will give you lower performance then a good application on the medium class tim.

So get whatever your the most comfortable using.
