Best temp monitoring software for Windows 7?

I want to do a torture test on my i3-3220, GA-Z77N-Wifi setup. What temp monitoring software do you guys use?

I like coretemp.

coretemp has been replaced by realtemp now. Coretemp was unreliable for reporting newer cpus accurately.

Another recommendation for HWiNFO64, although for your purposes Core Temp and its desktop gadget may be all you need.

Hardware Monitor Pro is probably the best but Core Temp (RealTemp) has a CPU and AGP over temp auto shut down.

I run HWMPro with CPU and AGP Temps in Sys-Tray and run CoreTemp in the back ground with only the Temp Shut Down active in case the CPU overheats.

Too bad HWM Pro doesn't have a CPU Over Temp shut down.

I just bought Aida64. Great temp monitoring and built-in system information and torture tests. If your cooler handles its FPU-only test with HT enabled, you don't need to worry about temps, ever.

Aida64 has been my favourite for many years (even back when it was Everest) Aida64's support is first class. The other day I reported an issue with their CPUID reporting the wrong voltage. After sending them the info they requesting they sent me a new BETA version of Aida64 which fixed the problem and also added new features like VRM temps and voltage.

I'm using Mobile PC Monitor for my servers hardware. I can get PUSH notifications whenever my CPU / harddisk temperatures exceeds 60 degrees. It's free you know?

CoreTemp has been updated, don't know how long ago. It supports the latest CPUs, lets you define high temp alarms, and has a really nice Win 7 desktop gadget. I was using the HWInfo64 gadget previously, but CoreTemp gives me all the key readings I need in a more compact format. Readings are identical to HWInfo64 for the sensors they share.

I use Open Hardware Monitor because it has a very good graph/plot display which records all data and allows you to graph every possible sensor/control. The tray icons are nice and configurable and in my opinion look much better than some alternatives. I use the web interface to display information on my tablet, which allows me to monitor my computer during gaming without dedicating a whole monitor to monitoring.
If you haven't tried it yet I would recommend checking it out. It replaced all my other monitoring utilities, and I have it installed on all of my computers.

Actually last version of realtemp is from early 2012, while coretemp last update is from 2013. Temp it reports on my rig are consistant with HWInfo.

I like this one as well. They figured out how to get everything I want to see on one screen, and the data is always there, as you mentioned (Current/High/Low). Awesome product!

I'm surprised, HWMonitor actually gives the correct reading for my Haswell processor. It had the wrong values for Nehalem/SB. Maybe they just got lucky that the TJMax is exactly 100*.

I question the integrity of this forum if the majority are recommending HWMonitor.
