Any kind of bread made fresh in a bakery [in Belgium]

I add the [in Belgium] part, because, I am in England right now, studying, and I have yet to find a bread as good as the one my mother finds at the bakery. We have move at least twice, and changed countless bakeries, and yet, they are all pretty good.

In england, you only get Hovis and Kingsmill in every single store that you can buy food in, and hardly any of the grocery stores have bakeries in them. In Belgium, the grocery stores have bakeries, and almost every 2nd or 3rd street has a bakery (and a place that sells meat [don't know what they are in english, but in dutch, they are called beenhouwerijs] /me is vegetarian). I'll be grateful when I find bread as good as home. I have tried a different kind of bread almost every time I've bought bread in England, and have yet to come up with a similar kind of bread.
